The Old Warden Residents Association (OWRA)

A Residents Association is a formal group of people who live in a neighbourhood and decide that they want to get together to deal with concerns that affect their local community. The group can include tenants, shared owners, leaseholders, and homeowners.

A collective voice is a powerful voice. Being united with other people who share your living environment, means that you can influence and shape the quality of the services to your local community and improve residents’ quality of life.

The Old Warden Residents Association (OWRA) was formed in March 2020, just before the first COVID 19 Lockdown. Despite the difficulties of association imposed by the subsequent Lockdowns, OWRA has continued to support the Parish throughout the Pandemic.

The Association covers the Parish of Old Warden, Bedfordshire.

OWRA Objectives

The objectives of the Association shall be to protect and advance the interests of all residents covered by the Association on matters concerning housing, the environment, social, and community life of the scheme.

To encourage community spirit and to work towards the elimination of all forms of discrimination.
To promote the interests and rights of tenants and homeowners.
To preserve and support the facilities and amenities of the area.
To help build a good relationship between residents and other local groups and organisations.

OWRA has been recognised by The Trust, Central Bedfordshire Council, and our Parish Council.

There are no formal criteria for membership of OWRA and no membership fees. To qualify for representation, you should live within the Parish.
